The Benefits of Living Tinnitus Free

Living Tinnitus Free is not just a self help guide. The book provides an extensive coverage of tinnitus. When we read it, we found out a great deal about tinnitus. It wasn’t just that, but it also went over the standard treatments that most tinnitus sufferers receive. It is a comprehensive look at tinnitus, and it was also a book we could relate to. It was interesting to learn about tinnitus while also learning how we could get rid of the problem altogether.

There is more to the book than simply another examination of phantom noises. It examines the root causes of tinnitus and how best to heal it by utilizing a whole body method. Right now, there has been a lot of attention paid to the cause of tinnitus.

This really held our interest. By learning the cause of your tinnitus, it is supposed to be easier to cure it, so we really liked how it went over the causes in detail.

The book also explained the lifestyle changes that need to be made to cure tinnitus. There are lots of great information on nutrition, exercise, and the immune system, which can all help with tinnitus. Not only that, but the book gives a lot of information on beating stress.

This is a straightforward means of ending tinnitus, and it really does end tinnitus. There aren’t any magic potions in it. What there are, though, are strong ways you can tackle tinnitus head on. The book focuses on lifestyle changes that help people get rid of tinnitus.

We also liked how this book was written based on the experience of someone that had managed to beat tinnitus. A book from a doctor that has never gone through tinnitus is not quite the same as someone that has managed to cope with the issue and overcome it.

We found that the book really worked. The plan was uncomplicated and easily used, and it actually helped us to manage our tinnitus. We are now tinnitus free and feeling better than ever.

In addition, we got results fast, which was something we really wanted. We noticed that we felt an almost instant difference. A number of the tips in the book offered fast relief.

Also, the tips in the book are not for simply getting rid of tinnitus for the short term. These are life long tips for avoiding a recurrence of tinnitus.

The Bottom Line

Living Tinnitus Free lives up to what it claims it will do. It manages to offer a no nonsense method for a problem that has confounded health providers for some time. We were pleased width the results and we would definitely recommend this book.

It was no problem to follow and the results were fast.

Your Choices in Hearing Aid Batteries

August 1st, 2009 -- Posted in Ears Hearing | No Comments »

An essential component of a hearing aid is the hearing aid batteries. Without power from the battery, the whole device is essentially useless. They’re so essential that many individuals who have a hearing aid will also buy a hearing aid battery tester. It makes it easy to know when the battery is running low on power. Then they will know to have other batteries on hand to replace it.

The length of time that hearing aid batteries will last depends on the style of hearing aid being worn. The smaller hearing aids that fit into the ear canal have a shorter battery life. That’s because the batteries are smaller and contain less of the substances required to produce power.

The older, more traditional kind of hearing aids utilized mercury batteries to keep them going. But there are newer zinc batteries that are much more effective and therefore more commonly used.

Zinc batteries utilize zinc air. This is a mixture of oxygen in the air along with the zinc present inside the battery. The resulting reaction gives power to the battery. They have about twice the life of the conventional mercury batteries.

You’ll find that zinc hearing aid batteries have a color coded tab. One of the reasons for this is so you can know the size of the battery. But it also keeps the air out of the battery until it is time to use it.

As soon as the tab is pulled off, oxygen starts to enter the battery. The battery will activate once the zinc and oxygen combine. For this reason the tab should not be removed until you’re ready to use it so it doesn’t start losing power.

Most hearing aids today use one of four different sizes of batteries that are readily available. Every size of hearing aid has a certain size of battery that fits it. The smallest size is color coded with yellow and is labeled a ten. The blue labels indicate the largest size available, which is 675. Digital hearing aids that fit inside the ear canal typically use the smaller sizes. The large sizes are used for the behind the ear hearing aids.

The larger sizes are longer lasting since there is room to hold more zinc inside the battery. But they do take up a lot more space. Many people would rather change the battery more often and have a less noticeable hearing aid.

What are Your Options in a Hearing Aid?

March 26th, 2009 -- Posted in Ears Hearing | No Comments »

Hearing aids are a part of life for many people, especially when they get older. There are several varieties of hearing aids available. The type of hearing aid that a person needs depends on the amount of hearing loss that they have and what type of a lifestyle that they live.

Some models of digital hearing aids are completely enclosed inside the ear so you can hardly see them. These are nice because most people will be unaware that the hearing impaired person is wearing a device.

However, these devices are really only suitable for people with minimal hearing loss. They are also limited in the features that will fit on the hearing aid, such as volume control. This can be detrimental in some cases.

Another type of hearing aid is one that fits partly into the ear canal. These models combine the benefits of a volume control unit while still being largely unnoticeable. Some of these devices feature a remote control that helps you control the volume more easily. Because these devices have more options, they can be used by people who have mild to moderately severe hearing loss.

The most common hearing aids are those that go in the ear or behind the ear. The in the ear style of hearing aids rests just inside your ear. Behind the ear styles have two components, one of which fits inside the ear. The battery component and volume control go behind the ear.

The downside of these models is that they are more visible. On the bright side, they feature longer batter life. They also have more control features available for you to use to monitor your hearing.

The basic parts of a hearing aid are the microphone, the amplifier and the speaker. The device’s microphone picks up all the sounds within the immediate vicinity. The amplifier helps you hear better by increasing the level of sound around you. The speaker component relays the enhanced sound to the ear so you can hear it easily.

Hearing aid batteries are another essential component. They will need to be replaced from time to time, even in a properly working device. These batteries are not very expensive. They cost anywhere from four to seven dollars in most cases, depending on the type that is needed.
